Hello,
I’m a passionate musician dedicated to making waves and letting music pulse through my veins. My journey began on a humble sofa with thick wooden arms, where my fingers danced to the rhythm of TV shows, music, and movies. By the age of 7 or 8, I was gathering with neighborhood kids, creating our own little world of sound from whatever we could find—whether it was actual instruments or wooden sticks. Rhythm became my natural language, leading me to scout activities and any place where music echoed through the air.
With my brother on bass and my friend big Jack on guitar, I fashioned my own percussion set, and together we formed Red Sun (1972 – 1974). Our dream of performing alongside the Super Trooper band in Ashrafieh came to life one unforgettable night. Having never touched a real drum set before, I found myself on stage behind a transparent drum kit, igniting a fire within me that continues to burn. Soon after, I bought my first drum set and immersed myself in music, practicing diligently through the challenges of war.
As life shifted, so did my musical journey. After my brother Raja moved on, Big Jack & I formed Electric Warriors, pushing the boundaries of shock rock and theatrical rock from 1974 to 1984. I later joined Traffic Jam (1984-1989), where our blend of rock, country, blues, and reggae captivated pub audiences.
My journey continued with bands like ZED, GRG,Joelle & Friends, Wedlock, Avengers, Shadi & Friends, Karika, Beirut Blues Brothers, and the Real Deal Blues band, embracing the blues genre, each chapter enriching my experience and musical palette.
. I’ve also been involved with Bouton Rouge, Gros Bras, In Sanity-Q, Funkers, Dirty Talk, Stray Atoms, JRJ, and ARK—each project shaping my artistic identity.
I learned to play through self-teaching and courses in London, continuously embracing a journey of exploration and growth. What sets me apart is my maturity and freestyle approach. My first drum set was a creative endeavor, crafted from a hard case of an accordion for the bass drum, a guitar hard case for toms, and a metal chessboard as a snare.
Outside of music, I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, paragliding, diving, and biking. Let’s keep this beat alive, and together, we’ll create something unforgettable!
